Morgan State University is an academic and educational jewel within the City of Baltimore. The Dean and faculty of
the Earl G. Graves School of Business and Management recognized that entrepreneurship is a popular area of study
for
the largely African American and urban student body at Morgan State.
A large percentage of Morgan students view entrepreneurship as a desirable career option. Developing an Entrepreneurship Center became a priority and is consistent with the University's overall mission to serve the local community and to make a difference within a progressive city which is dramatically changing for the better. The Morgan State University Center for Entrepreneurship and Strategy (CES) was founded in January 2003. Besides providing top quality entrepreneurship and strategic management education to students, the overall goals of the CES are to become a recognized research center that conducts and publishes research on urban and African American entrepreneurship issues, and to establish itself as a significant resource within the City. We work with the Entrepreneurial Development and Assistance Center (EDAC), our partner organization within the Earl G. Graves School of Business and Management to provide a wide range of services to entrepreneurs. We are working to help shape economic policy and become recognized nationally as a research and policy center on urban revitalization and African American entrepreneurship. |
